Extract the WolfHUD-master folder into your ' PAYDAY 2/mods' folder. Open the downloaded archive, using WinRAR or 7Zip. Download WolfHUD from here or clone the master branch. Just don't use it on games with multiplayer. Nothing about it seems suspicious since it is a very trustworthy app. I used it on state of decay 2 and it worked great. It's fine, but the problems as many have pointed out, lie with features hidden behind a paywall, and at times, the lack of trainers for certain games. Go to your Payday 2 folder, go to assets, and then to mod_overrides. 
Adding mods, for the most part, is quite simple to do in Payday 2. Payday 2 is no different and has heaps of mods that add something different, from graphical updates to quirkier additions like the Metal Gear Solid detection sound.
Right click on the zip file, and click ” extract to Payday 2 Ultimate Edition (ALL DLCs)“. Once the download is completed, close your internet browser. Click the download button to be redirected to UploadHaven. The links to the downloads as well as modding instructions are here.
